We are going to notify the 6th natural wonder of the world.
It is the Grand Canyon.
It’s more than a mile deep and 277miles long.
It stretches across the entire Arizona desert and it is an impressive place to be.
-Where have you been? (Here, Dr. Oz.)-How are you? (Good.)
-Have you been to the Grand Canyon?-No, I haven’t.
I will show you the natural healer from the Grand Canyon. Are you ready? (Let’ go.)
And it is …(we don’t want to drop it all) prickly pear.
It’s prickly pear cactus. (That’s right.)
The cool thing about prickly pear is it’s got tons of fiber in it.
It’s dries by that desert back there, right? Storing its water in its fiber paths for when it needs it,
there’a rears there’s fruit that, that comes from this prickly pear.
Researches have shown they can help treat diabetes, which is a very common problem in this country.
Let’s go back to the studio.
And Bradley, help us understand why you think prickly pear helps diabetes.
There’s an interesting paradox. There’s also some sugar in here.
Of course, it’s not the sugar that helps in the diabetes you want to stay away from that.
In this prickly pear cactus, this nopal
you will try some nopal here, that’s a nopal fruit there you’re holding.
Inside of here is both soluble and insoluble fiber, quite a lot of it.
Whereas a lot of cactus has fibre, this insoluble fibre will stay in our guts slowing the transit time
and that is the time it takes from our guts into our system
for sugar to get there, slows it down.
So this is one of the reasons we think this is all effective, ok
So you get to be the diabetes. (OK.) You get the sugar, go ahead and take that.
I want you to pour that through here now. Just pour over through there. (OK.)
You’ll notice, no no no, not there, in here, this is the body. It goes right through you.
That’s fine. Hold for a second. So the sugar you eat pops right through you like you’re funnel.
and then stay it all, right in your blood stream, metabolize it, turns the fat in your system if you don’t use it immediately
Now, when you take a little bit of fiber in your food, for example, from this wonderful cactus plant,
go ahead and pour now, pour a lot in there, just pour fast, and then what happens is
it clogs it up, it ends up the scenario where
It doesn’t get into your body quickly, (A bit slower.) much slower, so you get your nutrients as you need them, not any faster.
Fair enough? (Yeah.)Thank you very much.(Thank you.)
